Canberra - Study of 13km light rail corridor planned

Australia's capital city is to undertake a new study of transport include potential for light rail. According to an ABC News report  planners will  look at light rail, as part of a more general study that includes potential cycleways and busways. The focus will be a potential a 13 kilometre route between Civic and Exhibition Park, which could later be expanded to Gungahlin. [Note; Canberra and Christchurch have similar sized populations]
