Ever growing beetle swallows a big chunk of Man to better fight giants

Volkswagen have successfully gained majority control of major truck and busmakers MAN after about a month of buying up billions of dollars in shares.

A majority stake could pave the way for closer cooperation between MAN and VW's Swedish brand Scania without the need to buy the whole company.

The move is expected to put Volkswagen in a stronger position to compete with other major truck and bus giants such as Daimler and Volvo.
